Delete your Pezani account.
You can permanently delete your account yourself from either the Pezani Mobile app or My Business. This page shows the exact steps and explains what happens to your profile, listings, conversations and records.
Account deletion is not the same as signing out. In the app, submitting the final confirmation immediately deletes your sign-in credentials, removes or anonymises personal details, closes your listings and signs you out. Some transaction, safety and conversation records are handled as described below.
1. Before you delete
Account deletion removes your Pezani account from normal use. It can affect saved businesses, Quick Finder requests, messages, profile details and business activity connected to that account. If you are trying to fix a detail, stop notifications or resolve a security concern, Support may be able to help without closing the account.
If you operate a business profile, consider transferring the profile to another authorised manager or exporting information you need before requesting deletion.
2. Delete your account in Pezani
The same account-deletion workflow is available in Mobile and My Business:
Open My Account
In Mobile, open My Account. In My Business, open My Account from the account navigation.
Go to Privacy & safety
Choose Privacy & safety, then select Delete account.
Review and confirm
Read the deletion information, type DELETE into the confirmation field, then choose Delete my account. Your account is deleted and you are signed out. You do not need to email support to complete an in-app deletion.
Cannot sign in? Email support@pezani.app with the subject Delete my Pezani account and the phone number or email linked to the account. Support will verify the request and help process it. Never send your password, one-time verification code, full payment details or identity-document images by email.
3. What is deleted or anonymised
Pezani deletes the account's sign-in credentials and removes or anonymises personal profile and contact details. Saved listings, saved searches, personal preferences and notification registrations are removed. Your Quick Finder requests are closed and identifying request content and uploaded attachments are removed. Local files uploaded by the account are also removed when cleanup succeeds.
Messages you authored have their text replaced with a deletion notice and their attachments removed. The conversation is archived so the other participant can retain the conversation record, but your original message content and files are not kept in that chat.
4. Records that may be retained
Payment and billing records may be retained for financial reconciliation, legal obligations, disputes and fraud prevention. Limited safety, abuse-report, security, audit and backup records may also remain where needed for those purposes. These records are not retained to keep your account usable. 5. Business accounts and listings
Listings owned by the account are closed and their public business details are removed or anonymised. Business profile content and uploaded business media are removed where the deletion workflow controls them. Active subscriptions are cancelled and auto-renewal is turned off; billing history may remain for the reasons above.
6. Completion and exceptions
When deletion is confirmed in Mobile or My Business, the app processes it immediately and signs you out. Some retained financial, safety or backup records may remain for a limited period or as required by law. If Pezani cannot remove an uploaded file during the process, the app will tell you to contact support so it can be reviewed.
